Max Calaf: ANYDAY

Sat 3 June, 1pm & 3pm

(c40 mins)

Comic, absurd and surreal, Anyday is the charming tale of Max and the world he shares with his pet bird on a trampoline. Featuring extraordinarily acrobatic trampolining, it is set to an original score by Matt Huxley, and explores loneliness with some darkness, light and ultimately bouncing joy. This is a show that transforms the boings and clangs of unbearable hope to make our spirits soar.

About the company

Max Calaf Seve is a contemporary circus artist, specialising in trampoline acrobatics, object manipulation and physical theatre. He creates indoor and outdoor performances, challenging himself to obliterate the boundaries of what is possible on the trampoline. His unique performance aesthetic alerts us to the trampoline’s infinite possibilities and infinite stories, which it can articulate: tangible, physical, emotional, artistic.

Max trained at Rigelio Rivel Circus School, La Central del Circ Barcelona, National Centre for Circus Arts in London and holds a postgrad in Physical Theatre from Royal Holloway and he continued his training in Pairs at the international l theater school Jaques Lecoq. Aside from being a successful performer, Max is an accomplished circus teacher and facilitator.
