collectif coin: globoscope
Sat 04 December, Sunset to 9pm
Globoscope is an immersive work made up of a large number of luminous spheres.
By means of this technological mechanism, Collectif Coin creates a digitalised recreation of the space. Configured in harmony with the characteristics of the venue, each individual point each pixel in this landscape, is merged into an ensemble of sound and light movements that swirl through.
Mathematics, sound and light are in this way used to represent, transform, and expand a space!
About the company
Collectif Coin are an art lab based in Grenoble, France who focuses on the production and promotion of both monumental and intimate installations. Committed to the creation of trans-disciplinary work with particular focus on the digital arts,
Collectif Coin works around the notions of body, sound and light.
Whilst restrictions are being lifted for outdoor performances and installations we still want to keep everyone safe and avoid large, closely packed crowds.
This event will be a performance at fixed times. We will be laying out very limited audience seating and will put out indicators for groups to social distance. Our Stewards will be moving through the audience asking you to give each other plenty of space.
Staff will be wearing masks or visors and be regularly sanitizing their hands. We ask that you follow their instructions closely and, if asked, make space or give way for others.
We ask that nobody approach the stage too closely or any of our fenced off staff areas. We've carefully sanitised these for the protection of all and are keeping access as low as possible during the day.
We ask everyone to be patient and not clump up as they make their way on or off the square.
Whilst the event is in the open air we do still encourage people to wear face covers whilst watching the performance, especially during peak time when large numbers are likely to gather.
We ask that audiences respect social distancing guidelines and maintain at least 1m distance from fellow audience members outside their bubble or household. Please remember that it is not always clear who is most vulnerable.
