ANHAD is a one-day festival of South Asian outdoor arts, showcasing the best of South Asian outdoor arts for everyone to enjoy. This will be a colourful and visual celebration of South Asian arts and culture, as part of South Asian Heritage Month, featuring the best local & national artists. Expect breath-taking music, dance, performance, installations at Bell Square & along a specially decorated Hounslow High Street.

Balbir Singh Dance Company - Hopscotch
Based on the children’s playground game, this fun piece has two dancers and a musician bringing hopscotch to life in an unusual way.

India’s leading operatic tenor and enjoys an international career specialising in Bel-canto, Romantic and Verismo Italian and French opera. Anando has performed in major opera houses all over the world.

Zayn Mohammed Trio
Zayn is UK based, award-winning multi-instrumentalist, producer, composer & guitarist extraordinaire. Zayn Mohammed was the winner of Sky Arts 2016 Guitar Star and was mentored by the legendary George Benson.
Poetry & Movement
Anvi Prabhu- JOGI
‘Jogi Kaadatana’ is a lyric poem (Bhaavageethe) that is a special kind of poem-song in the Kannada language. It is written by contemporary poet Ranjini Prabhu, it is set to music by Upasana Mohan.
Choreographed and performed by Anvi prabhu using the gestural language of Bharatanatyam and the dynamics of theatre.

The Two Fridas is a fusion of dance, music and art to tell the story of two major artists of the twentieth century: Amrita Sher-Gil and Frida Kahlo.
Odissi Collective - Aroha
The Odissi Collective is a group of dancers trained in Odissi, who come together to revisit and present classical masterpieces with a contemporary sensitivity for the urban audiences. They work collaboratively in creating a shared aesthetic and an inclusive experience for all. They are committed to showcasing the sophistication of Indian classical dance in a format that feels fresh and resonates with the modern lifestyle.

Srishti- Jham!
Jham! An innovative classical Indian dance and music production conceptualised and created by award-winning choreographer Nina Rajarani MBE, and much sought-after music composer Y Yadavan.
Jham! is an upbeat, playful and energetic collaboration between dancers and musicians that highlights the rhythmic play between the ancient and the modern. Jham! has a distinctly interactive feel, with musicians and Bharatanatyam and Kathak dancers working off one another to produce creative ‘jamming’ that is fun and engaging with contrasting aspects of classical v/s modern.
Jham! features prominent musicians including a beatboxer and Indian percussionist (tabla), a Karnatik vocalist, a saxophone player and a flautist alongside classical Indian dancers.

Ashwini Kalsekar is a celebrated Kathak artist and choreographer in London. She is renowned for her expressions, grace and footwork.
